The Minnesota Supreme Court Legal Services Planning Committee currently has three openings.

The Committee was created in 2005 as a forum for reviewing available statewide data on the legal services delivery system, providing public education on the need for adequate funding of legal services, and discussing innovative, coordinated, and client-focused solutions to the problem of unmet civil legal needs. Members are appointed to three year terms with the option of renewing for a second term.

Persons interested in becoming a member of the committee should send a letter of interest to Frederick K. Grittner, Clerk of Appellate Courts, 25 Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, St. Paul, MN, 55155. The letter of interest should detail the applicant's legal services experience. Specific questions about the work of the committee may be directed to the staff at 651-284-4379. Applications must be received by Dec. 21, 2009.
