A couple more area counties are getting a free online legal self-help center.

Officials in Greene and Macoupin Counties will announce the opening of centers in their respective counties today. It’s all part of the same project that brought a legal online center to Morgan County earlier this week.

The center will be accessible from any computer connected to the internet. The new online center will provide legal information in civil matters for lower income people. The self-help center also contains other non-court related legal information concerning Social Security, Medicare, unemployment compensation and other topics.

The Greene County website can be accessed at greene.illinoislegalaid.org, in Macoupin County it’s macoupin.illinoislegalaid.org and in Morgan County the address is morgan.illinoislegalaid.org.
