Courts unveil self-help site

Tuesday, August 23, 2005

This article describes the new court self-help website put together by the New Hampshire Courts. The website provides information about court procedure, legal services, various forms and, for some types of cases, step-by-step instructions. The article points out that a New Hampshire task force on self representation found "the number of people representing themselves in court has increased dramatically, to the point where 85 percent of civil cases in district courts and 70 percent of domestic relations cases in superior courts involve at least one "pro se" litigant."
